Volunteer Craft Group Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary!

Congratulations to the Volunteer Craft Group for celebrating their 15 Year Anniversary!  Betty Lawson, Craft Group Leader, helped celebrate with the group. She has been with the group for their entire 15 years. The group was honored by the Volunteer Department with cake and snacks. The craft group makes tray favors for our hospice patients. Congratulations!

Bring Your Pastor to Dinner

The Bereavement sponsored event: “Bring Your Pastor to Dinner” was a successful event in October! See below for some scenes from the event.

Autumn Leaves Bake Sale—A Success!

Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care holds a successful fundraising bake sale each year during the Autumn Leaves Festival. This year was more successful than ever! MVHPC sold over $2,200.00, which topped last years figure.

Many thanks goes out to Melissa Robertson who heads  the sale, and Robby’s on Main Street for allowing the space during the festival. Another big thanks goes out to all the volunteers and staff who donated baked goods, and who volunteered to work in the booth.

November: National Hospice Month

“November is National Hospice/Palliative Care Month. This year’s theme, Preserving a legacy…treasuring memories, reminds us that every person we care for is a unique individual with a lifetime of experiences, relationships and gifts to share. Hospice and palliative care community honor patients and families and support them during the journey at life’s end.” - National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization  www.nhpco.org

Help us celebrate!
