Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care has two hospice homes: the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for residents of Surry County and surrounding areas, and the SECU Hospice Care Center for residents of Yadkin and surrounding areas.
Most hospice patients hope to remain home in the last days of life. In cases where this is not possible, our in-patient hospice facilities are alternative locations designed to be as homelike as possible. Family members and friends of all ages are welcome to be with their loved ones at any time.
Our highly qualified staff have years of experience in providing pain and symptom management, and include nurses, social workers, hospice aides, and chaplains. A full-time medical director who is certified in hospice and palliative medicine, provides physician services to each patient.
Residential suites are available for hospice patients who, for many different reasons, cannot stay at or return to their homes.
