Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is hosting a grand opening on Wednesday, August 2, for a new hospice care center in Yadkin County: the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin. The hospice facility is set to serve patients and their families throughout the Yadkin Valley region. It is the County's first inpatient hospice facility.

The SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin is located at 243 North Lee Avenue, next to the State Employees' Credit Union campus in Yadkinville.

The SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin offers a private, home-like setting, designed specifically to provide end-of-life care for patients who can no longer stay in their own home. The 11,000 square foot facility features six 300-square-foot patient suites with private baths, and outdoor patios. It also features a chapel, family living room, family kitchen, dining area, children's playroom, teen room, community meeting room with covered patio, sunroom, and beautiful courtyard with a view of Pilot Mountain.
