Registration is now underway for Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care's Brighter Days Children's Camp.

Brighter Days is a healing retreat for children ages 5 through 18 who have lost a loved one. A variety of educational and recreational activities will be offered, all of which are designed to assist the campers in identifying, expressing and coping with their feelings of grief.

"We utilize a blended therapeutic model of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral interventions such as art therapy, mindfulness and grief education, to meet the special needs of our campers," said Stacie Adams, Kids Path Counselor.

Brighter Days is free, but participants must register in advance.

If you know of a child who would benefit from Brighter Days, please call Mountain Valley Hospice at 1-888-789-2922 or Adams at 336-356-5000. For more information visit mtnvalleyhospice.org/brighter-days.
