ABOUT MOUNTAIN VALLEY HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE
Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization providing high quality end-of-life care in Surry, Yadkin and the 14 surrounding counties. Through its team of hospice professionals, and specially-trained volunteers, Mountain Valley Hospice addresses the growing need for compassionate hospice care through offices in Yadkinville, Elkin, Pilot Mountain, and Mount Airy, NC, and in Stuart and Hillsville, VA.

In March 2009, Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care began serving patients and families at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. The Woltz Hospice Home is a state-of-the-art hospice facility featuring 20 patient suites with individual outdoor patios, a spa room and many more patient comforts. There is also an old-time soda shop, children's play room, and many more amenities to make family members comfortable as they stay close by their loved one during this time when families are needed most.

In July 2015, Mountain Valley Hospice announced plans to build their second in-patient hospice facility, the SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, a 6-bed facility designed with amenities to care for patients facing the end of life or needing symptom management. The SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville will serve Yadkin and surrounding counties. The 2.5 Million Dollar "Imagine a Home Campaign" was launched last year, and was led by a 1 million dollar challenge grant from The North Carolina State Employees' Credit Union.
