Brighter Days Camp Stuart, VA
Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care
Now Registering for Brighter Days Children's Camp
Registration is now underway for Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care's Brighter Days Children's Camp.
The camp is held for one day, on June 20 at DeHart Park, on 212 Wood Brother Performance Drive in Stuart, Virginia. The grief camp is designed for children ages 6 through 12, who have had a loved one pass away within the past two years.
Children will participate in a variety of age appropriate activities which are related to their own grief experience, and will include swimming, creative arts, storytelling, role playing and music. These activities will be led by professional support facilitators who will allow the children to express their pain and sadness, and adjust to the transitions that death may cause in their lives.
Brighter Days Childrens Camp is provided to the community at not cost as part of Mountain Valley Hospice's Community Support Programs.
If you know a child who would benefit from this camp, or if you need further information, please call Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care in Stuart at (276) 694-4416, and speak with one of our bereavement coordinators.
