Mountain Valley Hospice Looking For Special Event Volunteers!
(Stuart, VA) This spring, Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care will present “A Night of a Thousand Lights” to celebrate and honor families the organization has served in the past year. The event will feature live music, food, activities for the entire family, and a display of luminaria bags.
In preparation for the event, Mountain Valley Hospice will hold a community planning meeting every 3rd Tuesday of the month, starting February 18, at 6 p.m., to coordinate event activities. The meeting will be held at Mountain Valley Hospice’s Stuart office, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Stuart, VA 24171.
Anyone interested in being a part of the volunteer committee or volunteering to assist during the “Night of a Thousand Lights”, please contact the Development Department by calling 1-888-789-2922, or (276) 694-4416.
The “Night of a Thousand Lights” event will also raise money for the uninsured and under-insured patients served by Mountain Valley Hospice each year. Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care does not turn away any patient due to lack of insurance or inability to pay. Events like this help Mountain Valley Hospice sustain its mission to provide compassionate, professional end-of-life care, and to provide ancillary services such as We Honor Veterans, Camp Kids Path, and Grief Support.
