Mountain Valley’s Woltz Hospice Home Celebrates 15 Years of Caring

In April, Mountain Valley celebrated a significant milestone at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, marking 15 years of dedicated care for patients and families.
The event, led by Tracey Dobson, Mountain Valley’s president and CEO, included remarks from agency leaders and tours of the facility for donors and community partners.
Tracey reflected on the past 15 years, emphasizing the organization’s mission to provide unparalleled care to every patient and family, every time. Mountain Valley strives to serve patients wherever they call home, whether it be a residence, hospital, or assisted living facility. When health care needs cannot be met at home, patients have the option of receiving care in one of two beautiful hospice care centers, where they will receive the same quality, compassionate care.
Since its inception in 2009, more than 7,400 patients and their families have received compassionate and tender care at the Woltz Hospice Home during some of the most delicate moments of their lives.
“We are immensely proud of the services and support we have been able to provide over the past 15 years,” said Dobson. “Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, CNAs, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and other professionals have exemplified excellence in hospice care, bringing comfort and understanding to those in need.”
The event served as a moment of reflection on the impact of Mountain Valley’s services and the generosity of the community. Through the support of donors and partners, the organization has been able to touch countless lives, offering solace and assistance during challenging times.
“We are grateful for the generosity of our donors and the ongoing support of our community partners,” added Tracey Dobson. “Together, we have made a profound difference in the lives of patients and families, and we are excited about the future as we continue our mission of compassionate care.”

Mountain Valley looks forward to many more years of serving the community and extending its legacy of care and compassion to those in need.
